아이테르가 기획하여 완성한 현대백화점 VIP 아트 크루즈
이번 현대백화점 VIP 아트 크루즈는 단순한 선상 이벤트가 아니라, 아이테르(AITHER)가 기획한 종합 문화예술 경험 프로그램으로 완성되었다. 아이테르는 그동안 지역성에 기반한 전시, 글로벌 아트 네트워크, 그리고 기업·기관과의 협업을 통해 ‘코리안 큐레토리얼(Korean Curatorial)’이라는 독창적인 기획 언어를 발전시켜왔다. 이러한 철학과 경험이 현대백화점 VIP 고객을 위한 특별한 선상 행사 속에 집약된 것이다.
행사의 기획 방향은 ‘도시–바다–예술–사람’이라는 네 가지 키워드를 중심으로 설정되었다. 부산이라는 지역성을 바탕으로, 미식과 와인, 아트 옥션, 야경 투어가 단계적으로 연결되는 하나의 서사를 만들어낸 것이 특징이다. 이는 아이테르가 지속적으로 강조해온 체류형 예술 경험과 참여적 기획 방식을 선상 공간으로 옮겨온 시도라 할 수 있다.
첫 번째 장면은 르도헤 김창욱 셰프의 케이터링으로 열렸다. 아이테르는 부산의 바다와 도시의 이미지를 음식으로 재해석할 수 있도록 셰프와 긴밀히 협업했다. 웰컴 드링크와 함께 제공된 케이터링은 단순한 식사가 아닌, 크루즈 여정의 서막을 여는 ‘감각적 장치’로서 작동했다.
이어지는 와인 페어링 프로그램은 Moët & Chandon의 브랜드 스토리를 전문가의 해설과 함께 체험할 수 있도록 구성했다. 아이테르는 이 시간을 단순한 테이스팅이 아니라, 와인과 문화·역사·예술이 만나는 강연형 체험으로 디자인했다. 참가자들은 단순히 와인을 마시는 데 그치지 않고, 감각적 체험을 통해 자신만의 취향을 재발견하는 시간을 갖게 되었다.
행사의 핵심인 아트 옥션은 아이테르가 가장 공을 들인 부분이다. 초청 작가 이창헌, 김도영, 김현우를 직접 탑승시켜 작품 해설과 에피소드를 나누게 함으로써, 단순히 물건을 사고파는 자리가 아닌 작가–고객 간 직접 교류의 장을 창출했다. 또한 ‘낭만’을 주제로 한 출품작 8~10점은 행사 컨셉과 조화를 이루며, 현대백화점 VIP 고객의 삶 속에 예술을 가져오는 계기로 자리했다. 사회자의 경매 진행 방식 역시 아이테르가 기획한 연출에 따라 부담 없이 즐기되, 예술품의 가치를 놓치지 않도록 균형 있게 구성되었다.
마지막으로 부산 야경 자유 투어와 포토타임은 도시와 바다가 만들어내는 장관을 배경으로 참가자들이 경험을 스스로 기록하게 하는 장치였다. 아이테르는 사진 인화 서비스를 추가하여, 디지털로만 소비되는 이미지를 넘어 즉석에서 손에 쥘 수 있는 아날로그적 기념품을 마련했다. 이는 고객들에게 행사의 특별함을 더욱 깊이 각인시키는 효과를 주었다.
아이테르는 이번 기획을 통해, 현대백화점이 추구하는 VIP 고객 경험의 고도화를 예술적·문화적 언어로 풀어냈다. 이는 단순히 백화점의 브랜드 가치를 강화하는 차원을 넘어, 지역 예술가와 고객을 잇는 플랫폼으로서의 역할까지 수행한 사례라 할 수 있다.
