고요한 풍경 위에 플라스틱 랩과 아크릴을 겹쳐 이미지의 안정성을 흔드는 작품이다. 보호재로 여겨지는 플라스틱은 화면을 감추고 변형하는 매체가 되며, 시간이 지나며 변화하는 물질의 성질은 회화의 영속성과 가치에 대한 질문을 만든다.
This work explore the intersection of materials, time, and perception. I begin with a detailed drawing
or painting, often depicting a serene landscape, and then introduce an unconventional element—
plastic wrap. This non-traditional material, typically used to protect artwork, paradoxically serves as
a medium that disrupts, alters, and challenges the integrity of the image beneath it. By layering
acrylic paint on top of the plastic, I engage in an act that both conceals and transforms. Over time,
this material will deteriorate, inevitably altering the work itself. This performative aspect introduces
the passage of time as an active force in the piece, questioning the permanence and value of
traditional art forms.
